SEWING & FASHION DESIGN

Highlights of the Program:

  1. Introduction to Sewing: Kickstart your sewing journey by learning the basics, including different types of fabrics, essential sewing tools, and how to operate a sewing machine. You'll practice fundamental techniques such as threading the machine, sewing straight and curved seams, and creating a variety of stitches.

  2. Pattern Making: Discover the art of pattern making, where you'll learn to create the blueprint for any garment. You'll explore how to take accurate body measurements, draft basic patterns, and make adjustments for the perfect fit. By the end of this section, you'll have the skills to create custom patterns for your unique designs.

  3. Garment Construction: Put your sewing skills to work as you bring your creations to life. From trendy tops and skirts to stylish dresses and pants, you'll learn how to assemble garments like a pro. You'll master professional techniques such as inserting zippers, attaching collars and cuffs, and creating flawless finishes such as hems and facings.

  4. Fashion Illustration: Unleash your artistic side by diving into the world of fashion illustration. You'll learn how to sketch fashion figures and bring your design ideas to life. Explore rendering various fabric textures, colors, and patterns to effectively communicate your vision. This skill will help you build an impressive visual portfolio of your work.

  5. Fabric Selection and Embellishment: Gain expertise in selecting fabrics that complement your designs and reflect your personal style. Learn about different types of fabrics, their properties, and suitable uses. A vibrant and inspiring class designed exclusively for teenagers passionate about the performing arts led by experienced instructors who understand the unique energy and creativity of young performers. This class offers an exciting platform for teens to explore and develop their artistic talents in a supportive and fun-filled environment. The class aims to nurture the passion for the performing arts while providing a solid foundation in acting, singing, live performance, and dancing.

CLASS: HEALING ARTS

Some of the core components of the Healing Arts for Teens class include:

  1. Mindfulness and Meditation: Teens will learn mindfulness techniques to cultivate present-moment awareness, reduce stress, and enhance focus. They will explore various meditation styles, breathwork exercises, and learn strategies to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives.

  2. Expressive Arts: This class incorporates creative and expressive outlets such as art therapy, journaling, music, dance, and drama. These activities provide a means for self-expression, emotional release, and exploration of one's inner world.

  3. Yoga and Movement: Participants will be introduced to the practice of yoga, including gentle stretching, postures, and breathing exercises. Yoga helps improve flexibility, strength, body awareness, and fosters a sense of calm and self-acceptance.

  4. Energy Healing and Reiki: Students will explore the concept of energy healing and learn basic techniques such as Reiki. They will understand how energy flows within the body and develop skills to balance and harmonize their own energy.
